Ein Ausflug auf den berühmten Tafelberg (englisch "Table Mountain") gehört zu den Highlights eines Kapstadt Besuchs. Vorausgesetzt allerdings, dass der steile Felsen nicht gerade mit einem "Tafeltuch" bedeckt ist und sich in dichten Nebel hüllt. An sonnigen Tagen aber hat man auf dem Tafelberg einen herrlichen Rundumblick auf die City, den Ozean und auf die Bergspitzen der Cape Peninsula.

The history of Table Mountain wurde was extended in November 2011, as it is now one of the "Seven Wonders of the World" of our earth and has thus received a special appreciation and distinction! 20,000 years ago - the mountain was around 1503 - The first inhabitants on the Cape called the mountain "Hoen", which means sea mountain.
