"Alle Zusammenkünfte, ob drinnen oder draußen, sind untersagt", verkündete Präsident Cyril Ramaphosa am Sonntag in einer Fernsehansprache. Ab sofort darf in Südafrika auch kein Alkohol mehr verkauft werden. Die verschärften Maßnahmen gelten zunächst für zwei Wochen.
Südafrika habe mit einem "massiven Wiederanstieg" der Neuinfektionen zu kämpfen, sagte Ramaphosa. Die Krankenhäuser hätten bereits ihre Kapazitätsgrenzen erreicht, vor allem Intensivbetten seien knapp.
In Südafrika gilt nun wieder die vierthöchste Stufe der Corona-Maßnahmen - Stufe fünf ist ein vollständiger Lockdown. Alle Zusammenkünfte mit Ausnahme von Beerdigungen sind nun untersagt. Restaurants dürfen Speisen nur noch zum Mitnehmen anbieten oder liefern. Die nächtliche Ausgangssperre wurde um eine Stunde verlängert.
Südafrika ist mit mehr als 1,9 Millionen bestätigten Infektionen und mindestens 59.900 Todesfällen das am stärksten betroffene Land Afrikas. Allein am Sonntag wurden 15.036 neue Infektionsfälle verzeichnet.
Hier kann man auch Safaritouren machen, nur gibt es hier weniger Tiere.
Abends sitzen wir am Lagerfeuer und essen gemeinsam. Nach wie vor bin ich in meinem kleinen Häuschen, da ich es genieße unter freiem Himmel zu duschen. Vielleicht ziehe ich ja noch um, da derzeit keine Touristen kommen, was sehr schade ist. Hier geht eine Lodge/Restaurant nach dem anderen pleite.
In der Zwischenzeit habe ich auch mein Auto getauscht, denn der Fiesta musste zur Inspektion, habe nun einen Suzuki mit einem größeren Kofferraum und gerade mal 2000km .
Habe in den letzten Tagen Vollmond und superschönen Sternenhimmel gehabt. Der Pool ist auch fertig, und man kann sich erfrischen, denn der Winter hat hier derzeit 30Grad plus.
