Besuch im Gericht und dann ins Casino/ Gauteng Division of he High Court of South Africa und Palace of Justice and after that to the Casino
Heute habe ich dann mal Gauteng Division of he High Court of South Africa

besucht und habe durch Lizie eine privat Führung erhalten, da sie dort arbeitet. Das Gebäude ich durch einen Tunnel mit dem Palace of Justice ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palace_of_Justice,_Pretoria ) verbunden.
Der Justizpalast ist Teil der Nordfassade des Kirchplatzes in Pretoria. Das Gebäude stammt aus dem neunzehnten Jahrhundert und wurde vom niederländischen Architekten Sytze Wierda entworfen. Es ist derzeit der Sitz der Gauteng-Abteilung des High Court of South Africa.
Man kann sich das alles gar nicht vorstellen, die alten Möbel, aus dem Gefängniszellen wurden Aufbewahrungsräume für alte Akten. Es gibt eine Ecke mit Holzbank ,wo früher die Leute aufgehängt wurden.
Fand das alles sehr interessant, saßen auch kurz in einer Verhandlung (Fotos waren da nicht erlaubt) Auch wenn man das Ablageverfahren sieht, Bergeweise Papiere. Alte Möbel. Ich muss sagen ich kenne sowas nur aus den ganz alten Filmen 🙈
Wenn eine rote Robe getragen wird, dann werden Mörder verteidigt und bei einer schwarzen Robe normale Kriminelle. Bin froh das man dies hier nur aus außenstehender betrachten darf. Möchte nicht vor dem Richter sitzen.

and Lizie gave me a private tour, as she works there. The building is connected to the Palace of Justice ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palace_of_Justice,_Pretoria) by a tunnel.
The Palace of Justice is part of the north façade of Church Square in Pretoria. The building dates back to the nineteenth century and was designed by the Dutch architect Sytze Wierda. It is currently the seat of the Gauteng Division of the High Court of South Africa.
You can't imagine it all, the old furniture, the prison cells turned into storage rooms for old files. There is a corner with a wooden bench where people used to be hanged.
It was all very interesting, we even sat in on a trial for a short time (photos were not allowed). Old furniture. I must say I only know something like that from the really old films 🙈
If a red robe is worn, then murderers are defended and if a black robe is worn, then normal criminals are defended. I'm glad that this can only be viewed from the outside. I don't want to sit in front of the judge.
